Children's Inclusion Alliance started with something simple: a mom wanting her child to have a place to belong.

Growing on purpose
We're becoming a nonprofit so we can fund respite, sensory-friendly outings and family grants.
Our story
As the parent of a child with a disability, I know how isolating this journey can sometimes feel. There are activities that aren't accessible. Places where our children struggle to participate. Parents who wonder if their child will be accepted. And far too many moments when families feel like they have to explain, apologize, or advocate just to make sure their child is included.
I wanted something different for my son, Chad.
But very quickly, I realized this couldn't just be about him.
There are so many families raising incredible children with disabilities who deserve friendships, experiences, opportunities, support, and a community that sees everything they have to offer.
That is where this began.
What started as The Village — a small community created to bring families together — began growing into something much bigger than we imagined.
Families connected.
Kids made memories.
Parents found people who understood.
Local businesses and organizations opened their doors to us.
And we began to see what could happen when a community intentionally chose inclusion.
That growth led us to become Children's Inclusion Alliance.
Our mission
Our mission is to create communities where children with disabilities are seen, included, supported, and celebrated.
Create opportunities for children to build friendships, practice skills, experience new things, and participate in their communities in ways that work for them.
Give parents and caregivers a village of people who understand the challenges, celebrate the victories, share resources, and stand beside one another.
Work with businesses, schools, churches, organizations, and community leaders to make inclusion something that is intentionally built into our communities — not something families have to continually ask for.
Where we're going
We have big dreams for Children's Inclusion Alliance.
- More inclusive events. More skill-building opportunities. More family support. More community partnerships. More education and advocacy.
- Chapters that bring families together closer to home.
- Helping businesses and organizations understand how they can better welcome children with disabilities.
- Giving parents a stronger voice.
- Creating opportunities for our children to learn, grow, make friends, and discover what they are capable of.
And ultimately, we want to help build communities where inclusion isn't considered “special.” It's simply the standard.
For all of our children
This organization may have started because I wanted something better for my child. But now, we're building it for all of our children.

- For the child who has been left out.
- For the parent searching for people who understand.
- For every family who has ever wondered, “Is there a place for us?”
